Giddy with "Glee"

I finally got to watch the entire episode of "Glee" today.

Sitting upright for an hour, frankly, doesn't feel good, so I managed to connect the internet to the laptop in the living room and watched it on fox.com.

It'll be one of my "must see" programs when it runs this fall.

I have to admit I laughed out loud at the last line in the extended promo:

"You think that's hard, trying living with hepatitis like I do. THAT's hard!"

It's kind of like when I got a silver BMW, I started seeing them everywhere. Or a Vera Bradley bag. Or when I was a teenager, a "Tennille" haircut.

The word "hepatitis" is popping up everywhere.

I went to Books A Million after church today and actually looked for a "Hepatitis for Dummies" book but didn't find one.

But I did pick up "Dr. Melissa Palmer's Guide to Hepatitis and Liver Disease."

It's actually quite helpful. It includes a whole chapter on autoimmune hepatitis.

I haven't found anything funny yet. And I just checked the index in the back and "humor" isn't listed.

I'm still hoping for a laugh.

  4. Thanks for the tips, but I have Autoimmune Hepatitis, which isn't caused by a virus (the book I mentioned has a great chapter on the topic.)

Good luck with the group and thanks for stopping by the blog!

  5. Hi Kim. Sorry. Guess when I saw the name Dr. Melissa Palmer and Hep for Dummies my mind's eye just saw Hep C because both of those deal with hep C. I have 4 friends with autoimmune hepatitis. It isn't very much fun either. Hope you can find something to "control it". Lots of good diet tips on the internet for herb friendly foods. Avocados have a liver protectant, Artichokes are from the milk thistle family, bromelain is in pineapples and aids in digestion as does papaya. You could still join our group and get some helpful tips because liver disease is liver disease is liver disease :-) It all usually leads to cirrhosis. Take care of yourself, learn all you can and be your own best advocate. It sounds like you are! GOOD LUCK!
